A
circular saw blade is a disc consisting of teeth which can cut
different materials using a spinning motion. They can be fitted to
various power saws depending on the material you are looking to cut
and the size of your tool. It's important to select the right bore
size and diameter to suit your tool, to ensure it fits properly and
for personal safety. Blade capacity determines the depth of cut it
can achieve, the larger the blade, the deeper the cut. The number of
teeth the disc has helps to determine the speed, type and finish of the cut. Fewer teeth will cut faster whereas more teeth give a finer
finish. Tungsten carbide teeth (TCT) are hard wearing and can be re-ground,
allowing you to get plenty of use. Multi-purpose blades are useful as
they minimise downtime but they can produce a lower quality cut.
